Mr. Lurtz graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1988 from the University of Oklahoma. In 1991, he received a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Since admission to the bar in 1991, Mr. Lurtz has concentrated his practice in the areas of Personal Injury, Insurance Defense, Automobile Liability, Products Liability, Workers' Compensation Defense, Property and Casualty Insurance, General Negligence, and Civil Litigation. His experience includes practicing law in the Oklahoma Supreme Court, the District Courts throughout Oklahoma’s 77 counties, the Workers' Compensation Court, the Workers' Compensation Commission, the United States District Courts for the Western, Eastern, and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Western, Eastern, and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Mr. Lurtz is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel, and Defense Research Institute.
