Timothy M. Long

Before moving into defense, Tim spent years as a Senior Deputy Prosecutor in York County and also prosecuted cases in Dauphin County. Having managed more than 1,000 criminal matters—ranging from drug and firearm offenses to major felonies—he has a deep understanding of how the Commonwealth builds its cases. He uses that "insider" insight to anticipate the prosecution's moves and effectively challenge their evidence. Tim is a natural in the courtroom, whether he’s at a preliminary hearing or a full jury trial, but he never forgets that there is a real person behind every case file. He graduated cum laude from Widener University Commonwealth Law School with a Trial Advocacy Certificate and has specialized training in complex areas like search and seizure, wiretaps, and narcotics investigations. Admitted to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and an active member of the York County Bar Association, Tim is a dedicated advocate for his clients. When he isn’t in the office, he’s usually outdoors hunting, fishing, or hiking, or taking some time to enjoy music.
