Biography

Tirzah Umana is an associate attorney in the Fresno office of Borton Petrini, LLP. Tirzah graduated from Walla Walla University and received her Juris Doctorate from San Joaquin College of Law in 2018. During Tirzah’s time at SJCL, she performed an externship clerking for the Honorable Stanley A. Boone at the Eastern District of California Court in Fresno.

Tirzah reads, writes, and speaks Spanish fluently. She began her legal career in 2021 working in civil litigation for a law firm located in Turlock, California before becoming a staff Health Attorney working for the Fresno branch of a Central Valley nonprofit agency. During Tirzah’s time working as a staff Health Attorney, she tirelessly fought for underserved clients to provide them with desperately needed legal aid, giving them a voice in the system and helping to obtain resolutions and outcomes that otherwise would not have been possible.

Tirzah’s has always had a passion for the law, even at a tender age of six years old. Her decision to begin her career in probate law stems from helping her mother administrate her father’s estate. This process helped her gain the compassion, understanding, and the importance of having the knowledge of probate matters. She has been able to gain the perspective as being a client and an attorney in both capacities. She is enthusiastic to work at Borton Petrini, LLP assisting clients with estate planning, probate law, and probate litigation.

Tirzah is married and enjoys spending family time with her husband and their daughter.
