Tobin Matthew Lanzetta: Attorney with Greene, Broillet & Wheeler, LLP

Biography

Throughout his career, Tobin M. Lanzetta has been unwavering in his commitment to upholding public safety and demanding accountability from both corporate entities and governmental wrongdoers. His remarkable track record of over $100 million in case victories stands as a testament to his relentless pursuit of justice on behalf of his clients.

Notably, Tobin was honored as a California Consumer Attorney of the Year in 2016, along with his esteemed colleagues Bruce Broillet, Scott Carr, and Molly McKibben, for their outstanding trial result in Erin Andrews v. Marriott, which secured $55 million in compensation.

Tobin's expertise extends across a range of trial areas, including catastrophic injury, wrongful death, brain injury, product liability, heavy machinery/trucking accidents, train incidents, and government liability. Recently, Tobin secured a significant victory for his clients in a Ventura County Superior Court case, resulting in an award of nearly $3.5 million for victims of a catastrophic forklift injury, where the defendants refused to accept responsibility.

One of the defining cases of Tobin's illustrious career was his instrumental role in the highly publicized Santa Monica Farmers Market cases. In the aftermath of a tragic incident where an elderly man caused harm to victims at the weekly farmers' market, Tobin represented the victims in lawsuits against the City of Santa Monica and other defendants. The resolution of these cases led to a $21 million settlement, which also resulted in the implementation of protective barriers at the farmers' market, ensuring a safer environment for all visitors.

As a partner, Tobin continues to be recognized as a "Super Lawyer" from 2014 to 2021, and he was previously honored as a "Super Lawyer Rising Star" from 2005 to 2013. Tobin's legal journey began after graduating from Santa Clara University, having initially attended Swarthmore College. He furthered his education at the University of San Diego School of Law, earning his law degree.

Before pursuing a legal career, Tobin showcased his talents as a professional baseball player for the Montreal Expos and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations.
