Todd S. Payne, Esq. is a Partner at Shaw Lewenz and Chair of the Firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Practice. Todd is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator with nearly 40 years of experience representing corporate and individual clients in complex commercial litigation, personal injury litigation, healthcare litigation, consumer litigation, aviation litigation, and class action/mass tort litigation. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in the most consequential of legal matters, obtaining over $100 million in jury verdicts in cases ranging from payer/provider disputes on behalf of Fortune 500 healthcare clients, to catastrophic aviation crash cases on behalf of pilots and crash victims. Todd’s broad range of experience uniquely positions him to serve as a mediator, arbitrator, private judge, or other neutral intermediary. His ability to grasp not only legal complexities, but also practical realities of litigation enable him to foster resolution in sophisticated matters when serving as a mediator or adjudicate complex disputes when serving as an arbitrator or private judge.
Todd has been recognized in publications such as the Daily Business Review and the National Law Journal as one of the top attorneys in the country and has been recognized by “Best Lawyers” as one of the best commercial litigation attorneys in the United States.
