Tom J. Sarna: Attorney with Simon Law PC

Biography

Tom Sarna is a native of Bolingbrook, Ill. whose early inspiration for a career in law lies within the stories of advocacy and justice portrayed in film and books. Iconic figures such as Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird and Erin Brockovich drove him toward a career in which he could help people through some of the most difficult times in their lives.

To give him an invaluable edge in representing his clients, he began his legal career with defense firms. The experience helped him approach his plaintiff’s work from the lens of the opposition from the beginning.

Tom believes meaningful change often happens only when organizations are forced to confront unsafe practices, and he believes the legal system can protect others from future harm.

He has a passion for trucking and product liability cases, which can lead to safer communities by holding corporations accountable when preventable accidents happen. In civil rights litigation, his goal is to ensure his clients voices are heard and to expose mistreatment or abuse by systems of power. And in the medical malpractice arena, Tom believes victims and families deserve accountability and answers when preventable medical errors have life-changing consequences.

At Simon Law, Tom values being part of a team widely respected for its experience, dedication and results. He credits not only the attorneys, but also the firm’s compassionate and highly skilled support staff, for creating a culture centered on exceptional client care.
