Biography

Tracy A. Yim is a senior associate with extensive experience in the defense of corporations in high-stakes litigations in both the state and federal courts. Her clients benefit from her effective motion practice and case management throughout the litigation process, from pre-litigation to appeals.

Tracy is an aggressive litigator who helps clients resolve their disputes efficiently through favorable settlements and dispositive motions. Prior to joining London Fischer, Tracy was an associate with an AmLaw 200 firm, where she represented Fortune 500 companies in complex product liability, general liability, premise liability, and wrongful death claims. Previously, she was an associate with an AmLaw 100 firm, handling product liability claims against international corporations and the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA) and wrongful death claims against railroad companies.

Tracy is proactive and diligently communicates with clients. Prioritizing the clients’ best interests, Tracy zealously advocates for her clients and has had significant success on dispositive motions.

Tracy began her career working as a legal intern for Catholic Legal Services, advocating for unaccompanied minors seeking asylum. She also worked as a legal intern for the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project, assisting mothers and children with their asylum applications. After graduating from law school, Tracy served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where she advocated for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in appellate proceedings, resulting in several published opinions in the state appeals court.

Tracy successfully defended and obtained favorable settlements for a multinational hospitality company in wrongful death cases.

Obtained a dismissal for a Fortune 500 retailer in a premise liability matter, through early use of discovery motions and motion to dismiss.

Successfully defended and obtained favorable settlements for corporations in complex product liability and general liability matters.

Obtained a dismissal of a toxic tort claim by demanding evidence through detailed discovery requests.

Defense verdict for a railroad company in a wrongful death case arising from an incident where a 19-year-old man died after being struck by a train in San Diego.

Obtained favorable settlements through aggressive use of dispositive motions in complex toxic tort cases where plaintiffs brought wrongful death claims pursuant to the FELA.
