Biography

Trista Turley practices in the firm’s Litigation and Public Law groups where she handles all stages of the litigation process including, pre-trial motion practice, discovery, and trial. Trista’s intellectual curiosity drives her to leave no stone unturned in the search for creative arguments and solutions. In fact, she most enjoys putting together the pieces of the puzzle to simplify complex issues and tell a compelling story.

With deep experience in public sector litigation, Trista has represented public agencies in multimillion-dollar arbitration, litigated multimillion-dollar public procurement cases, and litigated civil rights and election law matters in federal courts. She has also successfully represented professional clients before Ohio licensing boards and litigated numerous public records cases.

Prior to joining Isaac Wiles, Trista worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office where she represented administrative agencies in all stages of civil litigation, civil appellate proceedings, administrative hearings and administrative appeals. During that time, she represented the Ohio Department of Commerce in the first medical marijuana licensure hearing in Ohio history. Trista also previously worked as a Staff Attorney to the judges and magistrates of the Ohio Court of Claims.

An avid Fighting Irish supporter, Trista received her J.D., cum laude, from University of Notre Dame Law School, where she was Editor in Chief on the Notre Dame Journal of International and Comparative Law and awarded for Outstanding Achievement in the Program of Study in Global Law. Trista graduated magna cum laude from William Jewell College, with a B.A. in History and Philosophy.

A former soccer player and a passionate sports fan, Trista appreciates the competitive nature of law and the tangible and immediate impact it can have on the lives of people and businesses.
