Tyler Stara

Tyler Stara is an Associate Attorney at Smith & Bledsoe Family Law, where he represents clients in Austin, Travis County, and across Central Texas. Before becoming a lawyer, Tyler spent years as a registered nurse after earning his B.S. in Nursing from Oklahoma City University. Much of his nursing career was shaped by work in children’s hospitals, where he learned the importance of calm guidance, clear communication, and steady advocacy during stressful moments. Today, that same ethic of care informs the way he practices family law. Tyler helps individuals and parents navigate divorce, custody, and support matters with a balance of compassion and preparation. He takes time to listen closely, explain options in plain language, and build strategies that reflect each family’s needs and priorities. In custody and support cases, he stays focused on children’s best interests while helping parents move forward with structure and confidence. In divorce litigation, he pursues resolution where possible but prepares every case with the readiness required for trial. Outside of work, Tyler remains committed to service through medical mission trips and cancer awareness efforts.
