Valerie W. Epstein

Valerie Epstein is a Chattanooga native who took a fascinating path to the law. She actually started her career in medicine, serving as the director of the Miller Eye Bank and even assisting in eye surgeries. However, coming from a family of lawyers, she eventually felt the pull of the courtroom. She balanced the rigors of the University of Tennessee Law School while raising a newborn, a feat that speaks volumes about her work ethic. After years as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 insurance company, Valerie opened her own firm to provide more personal service to the community. Today, she focuses on civil litigation, business law, and estate planning. She is also a highly respected mediator and has served as a commercial arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association for over 15 years. Beyond her practice, Valerie is deeply involved in local life, serving on boards like WTCI and earning the Albert Hodge Volunteer of the Year award.
