Biography

Vilmarie Cordero brings extensive legal experience to her role as a Shareholder at GrahamHollis APC, focusing on employment discrimination and wage and hour class action cases. She has been dedicated to litigating class actions since 2010. Hailing from a small rural town in Puerto Rico, Vilmarie's academic prowess earned her magna cum laude honors both in political science from the University of Puerto Rico for her BA and in law from the University of Puerto Rico Law School, all while balancing a full-time position at a San Juan litigation firm. Her commitment to justice was evident during law school, where she spent a year as a student attorney in the Environmental Law Clinic, advocating for indigent clients and underserved communities seeking environmental justice.

Driven by her passion for civil rights litigation, Vilmarie ventured to New York City, dedicating two years to representing low-income Latinos facing various forms of employment discrimination, including cases centered on sex, race, color, and national origin.

Furthering her legal experience, Vilmarie pursued and obtained her Master of Law in Employment and Labor Law from the University of San Diego School of Law. During her time there, she expanded her practical experience by serving as a student attorney at GrahamHollis, working on multiple wage and hour class action cases.

Beyond her legal career, Vilmarie is an advocate for women's rights and finds solace in activities like reading, music, movies, and various outdoor pursuits such as running, hiking, traveling, snowboarding, and exercising.

Vilmarie's approach to law revolves around fostering genuine connections with her clients. She believes that a successful lawyer must be attuned to their clients' specific needs. At GrahamHollis, she and her team prioritize active listening and unwavering dedication to deliver the best possible results for their clients.
