Biography

Ginny’s practice focuses on civil litigation, representing individuals with personal injuries due to medical malpractice, automobile wrecks, defective products, nursing home abuse and neglect, and unsafe premises, among others. She also represents individuals and small businesses in business litigation, contract disputes, and insurance coverage issues. Ginny is admitted to practice law in South Carolina, the District Court of South Carolina, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has also been recognized as a Super Lawyer and a member of the Litigation Counsel of America.

Prior to law school, Ginny received a master’s degree in bilingual legal interpreting and worked as a freelance interpreter and translator. She has also worked as a Spanish-speaking victim’s advocate for the Charleston County Solicitor’s Office and as a clerk with the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee.

Ginny was born and raised in Pinopolis, a small town in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. In addition to her master’s degree, Ginny graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from the University of South Carolina.

At USC, she was a part of in the Honors College, competed with the USC Mock Trial Team, served as a student program director in the Community Service Office, held leadership positions with Habitat for Humanity, and enrolled in piano performance classes throughout her four years at USC. Ginny also attended law school at the University of South Carolina, where she was a member of the Student Bar Association, and served on the Pro Bono Board.

Ginny resides in Orangeburg with her husband David and their three children. Her family actively supports and advocates for Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College, First Baptist Church of Orangeburg, and Orangeburg area primary and secondary schools.
