W. Lamar Johnson, II

W. Lamar Johnson, II, (“Lamar”) joined the firm as an attorney in 2019 after several years of working in supporting roles for the firm during summers off from University of South Carolina and during law school at Charleston School of Law. Lamar has represented clients in HOA/POA matters, business formation and organization, contract review, negotiation and preparation, and business transactions, land development, zoning and permitting, consumer arbitrations, as well as other general legal services.

Lamar grew up in Beaufort County, living in Bluffton and attending Hilton Head Christian Academy from kindergarten through upper-school graduation in 2010, where he played football (co-captain), soccer, and was on the sporting clays team. After graduating from Hilton Head Christian Academy, Lamar studied at the Evangelical Institute of Greenville, South Carolina and the University of South Carolina, Darla Moore School of Business, where he graduated in 2015. Lamar earned his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2019.

Lamar very much enjoys the opportunity to work with his father, Barry L. Johnson and the other lawyers in the firm. Lamar married Ashley Johnson in 2018, and they welcomed their first child, a daughter, into the world in 2021 and a son in late 2023. He and Ashley hope to have more children in the future. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading and outside, hunting, fishing, camping, shooting, and hiking, helping friends, neighbors and family with projects, and attending church.
