Biography

“My goal is to provide each client with a listening ear, sound advice, and peace of mind.“

Wayne is a practical, trustworthy, down-to-earth attorney who cares about his clients and provides each with exceptional legal service. As an estate planning attorney and probate litigator with over twenty (20) years of experience, he is uniquely qualified to deliver useful, comprehensive, and high quality legal advice and solutions.

Wayne represents not only individuals and couples who choose to prepare for their eventual incapacity and death (estate planning), but also individuals responsible for managing the legal and financial affairs of a loved-one, after his or her death, whether or not a Will or Trust exists.

Estate Planning

During his career, Wayne has traveled and conducted seminars throughout Arizona to teach and encourage people to take advantage of the many benefits of estate planning as a preventative solution to costly probate litigation. He firmly believes that in most cases it is wise to not only avoid or minimizing court involvement to the greatest extent possible, but also to be prepared for unanticipated and unwelcome litigation. An ounce of prevention (careful attention to detail in planning and documentation) is preferable to and yields better overall results than a pound of cure (hoping for the best and then dealing with a crisis).

Trust & Estate Administration/Probate

Wayne has helped hundreds of clients efficiently deal with and manage the financial affairs and legal issues that arise with the death of a spouse, relative, or loved-one. Since Wayne has extensive experience in the administration of estate, trust, and probate matters, you can be confident that your matter will not be his first rodeo! Wayne successfully navigates the legal complexities of the administrative process, interprets and analyzes applicable trusts and wills, provides practical advice, assists with recordkeeping and accountings, resolves disputes, oversees compliance with legal requirements, and, most importantly helps protect his clients from potential liability.

Wayne is trustworthy, diligent, and kind, but perhaps more importantly, he listens and responds to the needs and concerns of his clients. Wayne has the overall understanding, expertise, and experience that yields consistent positive results and ultimately peace of mind for his clients.

Personal

Although Wayne is originally from Texas. He speaks Spanish, having lived and worked in both Mexico and Bolivia. Wayne is a graduate of Brigham Young University and prior to law school worked for several years as a systems engineer and a branch manager of an international export company. Wayne’s loving and supportive wife, Karen, is a professional organist who is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in organ performance from Arizona State University. Wayne and Karen have six wonderful children and ten cute grandchildren. Wayne is a former Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore. In his younger (and thinner) days, he was a springboard diver, competed in football, gymnastics, track, and tennis, coached little league baseball, and occasionally performed in community musical theater and operettas. When Wayne is not working on client matters, engaging in church service, or spending time with his family, he enjoys acquiring knowledge of just about anything and improving his skills in computer applications and audio/video recording.
