Biography

Wei Zhang, Ph.D. focuses on intellectual property law, particularly in the areas of immunotherapies, gene therapies, drug delivery systems, and medical devices. She has deep experience in worldwide patent prosecution, patent portfolio management, due diligence, client counseling, technology transfer, freedom to operate analysis, and opinion preparation.

Wei’s background includes a Ph.D. in Animal Science, with a focus in neuroendocrinology and immunogenetics. Her research experience spans over a decade, during which she investigated epigenetic regulation of tumorigenesis in Marek’s disease and hypothalamic control of glucose homeostasis and insulin resistance. She is well versed in antibody, vaccine, cell culture, immunohistochemistry, siRNA, gene editing, and epigenetics technologies.
