Wesley Baker: Attorney with Moses & Rooth Criminal Defense Lawyers

Biography

Born in Eastern Kentucky, Wesley earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Louisville in 2015. Following graduation, he began his professional career in government contracting, where he developed a strong analytical foundation and sharpened his problem-solving skills. This experience continues to inform his strategic approach to legal advocacy. Driven by a lifelong ambition to practice law, Wesley relocated to Orlando, Florida in 2018 to attend Barry University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor.

Upon graduating from law school, Wesley joined the State Attorney’s Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida, serving as an Assistant State Attorney in both Orange and Osceola Counties. In this role, he prosecuted a broad spectrum of criminal matters, including felony and juvenile cases. His experience as a prosecutor provided him with invaluable insight into how law enforcement and the State investigate cases, evaluate evidence, and make charging decisions. Through extensive courtroom experience, Wesley developed into a skilled trial attorney with a comprehensive understanding of Florida criminal law and procedure. Today, Wesley leverages his prosecutorial background as a criminal defense attorney, bringing a unique and informed perspective to the defense of his clients. He is dedicated to protecting the constitutional rights of the accused and to holding the State to its burden at every stage of the process. Wesley represents clients from the earliest stages of investigation through trial or resolution, providing clear communication, thoughtful strategy, and steadfast advocacy during what are often some of the most stressful and consequential moments in their lives.

Wesley is known for his meticulous preparation, straightforward counsel, and client-focused approach. He takes the time to understand each client’s circumstances and objectives, ensuring they are informed, empowered, and confident in their defense.

Outside of the practice of law, Wesley enjoys spending time with his wife and their Goldendoodle, Teddy.
