Wesley David Dutcher-Walls

Wes represents individuals and organizations in a wide range of criminal, civil, constitutional, and administrative matters. He has appeared before every level of court in Ontario as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. Before joining Hunter Litigation Chambers, he articled at a leading full-service firm in Toronto and spent five years as an associate at one of Canada’s top litigation boutiques.Wes has extensive experience defending criminal charges and handling complex civil disputes, and he advises interveners, witnesses, peace bond applicants, record-holders, and lawyers facing ineffective-assistance allegations. He previously contributed regularly to the Criminal Lawyers’ Association publication For the Defence on search-and-seizure issues.He earned his J.D. from the University of Toronto in 2018, beginning his studies at UC Berkeley, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award for constitutional law. Before entering practice, Wes worked as a policy advisor in the Ontario provincial government on municipal governance and accountability.
