Whitney Lee Coker

Before becoming an attorney, Whitney worked as a social worker for the State of Indiana.

“I was a social worker, and part of my job was to advocate for my clients,” she says. “I could do that up to a certain point as a social worker. I ended up getting a little frustrated that I couldn’t follow that process all the way through. Ultimately, some of my clients were in need of legal help in going through the process with the court.”

As a personal injury attorney in Indiana, Whitney is a strong advocate for her clients. She helps injured people exercise their legal rights to pursue full compensation for injuries caused by the negligence of others and to hold insurance companies accountable.

Whitney’s Background

Whitney grew up in Fishers, Indiana, a rapidly growing community north of Indianapolis recognized as a Top Place to Live in America by Money Magazine. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington and obtained a degree in Social Work. As an undergraduate, Whitney was involved in the Bloomington community volunteering at the Shalom Community Center, Stonebelt, Inc., and Middle Way House. After graduating, she worked as a social worker focusing her work on children and families.

In 2012, Whitney enrolled at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and graduated in 2015. While in law school, Whitney clerked for Indiana Legal Services, Inc. and for Craig, Kelley & Faultless LLC. Whitney received the Norman Lefstein Award of Excellence, which is given to graduating law students who have contributed 200 plus hours of pro bono service through their career in law school. During law school, Whitney was an Associate Editor of the Indiana Health Law Review, a fellow in the Dean’s Tutorial Society, and Philanthropy Chair of Equal Justice Works.

As an attorney, Whitney works with clients after litigation has begun through mediation and trial, if necessary.
