Biography

Whitney Short, a native of Sparta, Ohio, developed her dedication to the community in her small farm town. She earned her degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Spanish for the Professions at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her undergraduate journey included study abroad in Bilbao, Spain, membership in the Delta Zeta sorority, and recognition by the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. After three years in medical device sales and compliance, she pursued her passion for helping others by attending UNLV's William S. Boyd School of Law. There, she excelled as Managing Editor for the Nevada Law Journal, mediated with the esteemed Strasser Mediation Clinic, externed for Hon. Elizabeth Gonzalez (Ret.), and conducted award-winning research on human rights in New Delhi, India.

Whitney focuses on estate planning, probate, and business law, with a focus on preemptive strategies to keep clients out of court. Her personal experiences with family and health care challenges drive her mission to educate others about necessary protective measures. Whitney also serves as legal counsel for Branded One, a nonprofit empowering disabled veterans, which she co-founded with her husband. In her leisure time, she enjoys the outdoors, fitness, travel, and family.
