Biography

If you have been injured, you need an attorney who understands your concerns, who can guide you through this life changing event and will directly work with you to seek a positive resolution to your claim. Sweeney Julian recruited Bill Keller to join the firm earlier this year and soon after he moved back to South Bend from Seattle. Bill wanted to find a practice where he could focus solely on working with injured people, and Sweeney Julian was the perfect fit.

Prior to joining Sweeney Julian, Bill was a Partner in the firms Moran & Keller PLLC, and MWW PLLC, where the practice focused on personal injury and high-stakes commercial litigation. Bill started his legal career as an associate at the law firm of LeGros Buchanan & Paul, where he defended the interests of fishing vessels, tug boats, shipping companies and other marine interests. During that time, Bill learned the ins and outs of how insurance companies and defendants evaluate claims and aggressively seek to intimidate injured persons from fully exercising their rights to a reasonable recovery.

Bill received his B.A. as a double major in Political Science and History from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon in 1995. Thereafter, Bill graduated with a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he was selected as a member of the Moot Court Appellate board.

Bill has litigated cases at the trial, appellate and Supreme Court level, including most recently having won two cases argued in front of the Washington Supreme Court defending the Constitutional Rights of his clients in Akrie v. T-Mobile et al, and Dillon v. Seattle Deposition Reporters. Bill was named a Rising Star for three straight years by Washington Law & Politics magazine, an honor awarded to less than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state based upon peer recognition, ethical standards and recognition for achievement in the legal field.

Bill has handled personal injury cases from intake to verdict as counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants, but after many years of seeing a system which focuses on accepting premiums and denying claims Bill is 100 percent dedicated to helping injured people exercise their rights.
