WIlliam Dillon

WIlliam Dillon: Attorney with Dillon Alfrey Law

Biography

William Dillon is a Colorado criminal defense attorney with more than 25 years of experience in the justice system, focusing on DUI, traffic offenses, and other criminal charges. Before moving into defense work, he served as a Senior Chief Deputy District Attorney in the Denver District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted thousands of cases and gained a firsthand understanding of how the government builds criminal matters. Earlier in his career, William clerked for several District Court judges and magistrates, giving him practical insight into how Colorado courts operate. Over the course of his prosecutorial career, he completed more than 200 misdemeanor and felony trials, including DUI and DWAI, vehicular assault and homicide, sexual assault, theft, kidnapping, and serious traffic offenses such as speeding and careless driving. Today, William uses that background to defend clients with a strategy-driven, steady approach, challenging evidence and advocating for the best possible outcome. He earned his B.A. in Communications from the University of Washington in 1996 and his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2002. William has lived in Colorado with his family since 1996 and is licensed statewide.
