William M. Quitmeier is an attorney and counselor at law with deep roots in the Kansas City Northland and a long record of service in both law and local government. He has taught and presented on a range of legal topics, including serving as an adjunct professor of environmental law at Park University and lecturing on real estate law and real estate contracts for Missouri Bar continuing legal education programs. He has also taught business law at Metropolitan Community Colleges. Outside the classroom and courtroom, Mr. Quitmeier has been active in civic and community organizations, including the Park Board of the City of Weatherby Lake, the Weatherby Lake Board of Zoning Adjustment, and the Parkville Chamber of Commerce. His public service includes serving as a Parkville city alderman from 1985 to 1991 and as Mayor of Parkville from 1991 to 2002. He is a co-founder of the Platte County Land Trust and has served in leadership roles for additional charitable and regional initiatives. Mr. Quitmeier is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and several local bar associations, and he is also licensed as a Missouri real estate broker.
