Biography

Will Morehead is a California trial attorney who specializes in criminal defense. He has handled well over 1,000 cases ranging from misdemeanors to homicide. Between 2010 and 2017, he worked as a prosecutor in Los Angeles and Marin counties, giving him an insider’s perspective on how cases are evaluated and prosecuted. As a private defense lawyer, he has secured excellent results for his clients, including complete dismissals and negotiating favorable settlements. He is also an experienced trial lawyer and has tried over 25 cases to verdict. Since 2016, he has been Board-Certified by the State Bar of California as a Criminal Law Specialist (one of only a handful specialists statewide). He has also taught criminal law, evidence, and trial practice at Golden Gate University School of Law. He holds a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and a B.A. with distinction and honors from Stanford University. He is admitted to practice in all California courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of California.
