William Monte concentrates his practice in the area of personal injury law, including complex medical malpractice matters.

• A litigator handling medical malpractice matters;

• A researcher and author in the field of medical sciences; and

• A law clerk for a Federal Judge on the United States Court of Appeals.

Medical Science Experience

Bill brings a rare depth of knowledge in medical sciences to his legal practice. His robust medical knowledge is quite beneficial to clients, given the complex medical issues that arise in legal battles involving personal injuries.

Bill’s extensive proficiency in medical sciences also serves as a benefit when addressing expert witnesses, such as physician specialists and medical school professors. Bill’s experience significantly enhances his legal team’s ability to navigate the medical intricacies of a case and obtain the best results possible for his clients.

Bill spent ten years studying biomedical sciences at Columbia University, including time at Columbia’s prestigious College of Physicians and Surgeons. In his time at Columbia University, Bill served as a medical researcher and author. His research has been published in notable peer-reviewed medical journals such as the Journal of Pediatrics and the American Journal of Neuroradiology. He also coauthored a medical book titled ‘Brain Damage in the Preterm Infant,’ published by Mac Heath Press of London and distributed by Cambridge University Press.

Federal Appellate Court Clerkship

Prior to joining Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria, Bill served a three-year term as a law clerk to the Hon. Pauline Newman at the United States Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit, Washington, D.C. Appeals from the Federal Circuit are heard directly by the Supreme Court of the United States.

In his role as a law clerk for a Federal Court Judge, Bill’s duties included the analysis and management of complex legal matters. Through this experience, Bill gained a unique perspective: to see and understand a case from the Judge’s side of the bench. Bill applies this insight to help serve his clients at trial.
