Biography

A Minnesota native, William Bongard grew up traveling the world as the son of a professional foreign service worker. His entire 36-year career in has been spent at the law firm of SiebenCarey representing Minnesotans when they experience accidental injury. William is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is also state certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. Most recently, William was selected as a 2017 Super Lawyers honoree. In 2008, he was selected by Minnesota Lawyer as one of 15 Attorneys of the Year. This award is reserved for a select group of attorneys who distinguish themselves with their exemplary work. Honorees are chosen by a panel from the nominations submitted based on procuring a successful result in an important case or business transaction; demonstrated leadership in professional associations; participation in newsworthy events in the legal community; and performing significant public services or in-house legal services. During his career, William has recovered millions of dollars in damages for people injured on the road, at work, and at home. He shares his legal talents with the community by regularly judging Mock Trial Programs at the high school and college levels. William is a vital member of our firm, providing extensive experience and specialized knowledge in the areas of automobile, motorcycle and snowmobile accidents, homeowner, construction site, defective products, wrongful death and no-fault automobile insurance litigation.
