Wrix McIlvaine

Wrix McIlvaine is a trial attorney that has battled for justice in courtrooms throughout Georgia for over 20 years. His trial practice is focused on high profile criminal matters throughout the State in Federal and State Court and he has won acquittals at trial for individuals charged with murder, armed robbery, and drug trafficking among other infamous crimes. His civil litigation practice focuses on defending the Constitution, protecting civil liberties, giving a voice to the voiceless, and ensuring the injured receive fair compensation.

Wrix is admitted to practice law in all Georgia trial courts, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

A lifelong musician and advocate for the arts and technology, Wrix also brings unique and specialized knowledge for those seeking to procure, defend and enforce copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights. After earning his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, he studied at the Max Planck Institute in Munich, Germany and earned his Master of Laws in intellectual property from the Universität Augsburg in conjunction with the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center. He provides both domestic and international solutions in this arena and engages in a variety of trademark, copyright, business contract, unfair competition, right of publicity and entertainment development, procurement and litigation.

Wrix serves the City of Brunswick as a Municipal Court Judge presiding over traffic and code enforcement cases. He also serves Glynn County as a Deputy Magistrate Judge where he reviews and issues arrest and search warrants and presides over felony probable cause hearings, first appearances, dispossessory hearings, warrant applications, code enforcement hearings and civil litigation.
