Biography

Yalkin Gencel is a trial attorney at the Orlando, Melbourne and Titusville, Florida offices of Morgan & Morgan, P.A. Mr. Gencel focuses his practice on representing clients who have been seriously injured as a result of the negligence and carelessness of others. He handles all types of cases including serious automobile collisions, motorcycle crashes, trucking, insurance claims and slip and fall accidents.

Mr. Gencel was born in Istanbul, Turkiye and raised in Detroit, Michigan. His family later moved to Florida, and he graduated from Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs. He stayed in Orlando to complete his Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. Go Knights! After graduating, Mr. Gencel completed his legal education with a J.D. degree from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. Following law school, Mr. Gencel returned to Orlando, Florida to begin his legal career and has been here ever since.

Mr. Gencel began his career as an Assistant Public Defender with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office before moving to a major defense firm defending large insurance companies and corporations in civil matters. He then became in-house counsel with one of the major insurance companies for the better part of a decade before joining Morgan & Morgan, P.A. Since arriving, he has recovered millions of dollars for his clients and their families and continues to obtain large jury verdicts and settlements from insurance companies and other major corporations.

Mr. Gencel is a member of the Florida Bar, the Brevard County Bar Association and Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He is licensed in all state courts in Florida along with Federal Court in the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. In his spare time, Yalkin likes to spend time with his wife and kids, attend sporting events and travel.
