Zach was born and raised in Decatur, Alabama. He received
his undergraduate degree in History from Birmingham-Southern College in 2011,
and was a Harrison Honors Scholar. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate in
2014 from the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Mr.
Guyse was on the managing board of the Alabama Law Review, and was a member of
the school's ABA National Moot Court competition team and Campbell Moot Court
Board. Since joining the firm, Mr. Guyse has litigated cases across the state
involving car accidents, workers' compensation, breach of contract, and real
estate litigation. In his first jury trial, Mr. Guyse was part of a trial team
which secured a $4.2 million dollar verdict against the State of Alabama after
the state used its power of eminent domain to seize private property from a
family in Limestone County without just compensation.
Before joining the firm in 2014, Mr. Guyse's work experience
included his time serving as a judicial intern for U.S. District Judge R. David
Proctor, as well as a law clerk for the law firm of Turner & Turner in
Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mr. Guyse lives in Huntsville with his wife, Marie, and
two children, Theodore and Adelaide.
