Zaid Hydari

Zaid Hydari is a seasoned immigration and international relations attorney with over a decade of experience in public service and humanitarian assistance. A first-generation American, he earned a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. As founder and executive director of the Refugee Solidarity Network, Zaid led pro bono legal efforts supported by the U.S. Department of State, providing free assistance to over 10,000 individuals in key host countries such as Turkey and Pakistan and advancing strategic litigation before the European Court of Human Rights and UN bodies. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Fordham, teaching Immigration Law and International Refugee Law & Policy. Admitted to practice in New York and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Zaid has published in outlets including The Washington Post and Foreign Policy in Focus and has spoken at the UNHCR Executive Committee, the European Parliament, and the Mexican Senate.
