Biography

Zoe P. Grisz advises and represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters arising under both state and federal laws. Zoe’s practice is built on a complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution background, concentrating on labor and employment litigation, counseling, and compliance matters.

Zoe strategizes with clients to pursue the best outcome for their business by considering creative strategies and approaches. She represents employers in all stages of litigation, from administrative proceedings to discovery management, briefing dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, and mediation and settlement negotiations.

Additionally, Zoe prioritizes strategies to reduce litigation risks through her counseling and advice practice. Zoe advises employers on best practices for establishing and maintaining regulatory compliance to reduce litigation risks. She serves as a resource to help business owners and human resources professionals work through day-to-day issues such as employee hiring, investigations, discipline, compensation, terminations, and much more. Zoe also works with employers to draft multistate compliant policies and agreements to fit a company’s unique needs.

During law school, Zoe served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jorge Solis, Chief Judge for the Northern District of Texas and worked in the Travis County District Attorney’s Office’s Public Integrity and White Collar units. Zoe was also President of SMU Dedman Law’s Women in Law and served as a Chief of the Civil/Consumer Clinic.
