Reinsurance

A reinsurer sought to rescind its participation in a reinsurance treaty as a result of what it called a "pervasive pattern of late reporting" by the reinsured. At arbitration, the panel unanimously found that the reinsured had not violated the provisions of the treaty and awarded AGF&J's client full recovery for all of the losses ceded to the treaty plus interest.

AGF&J represents ceding and reinsuring companies in arbitration and other proceedings in this highly-complex niche of the insurance industry. We also serve as discovery masters to assist tribunals and counsel in resolving complex discovery disputes.
