Valuing individual diversity means reaching
beyond stereotypical views of individuals and using the strengths and
different perspectives that each person offers as a result of his or her
culture, religion, ethnicity, gender, race, national origin,
disability, sexual orientation, and age. C&S LLP's Board,
committees, and task forces will reflect the individual diversity of the
profession. Even more important, they will embrace and derive value
from the diverse views that each individual brings to a task at hands.
Valuing organizational diversity means taking action to affirmatively
include educational institutions representing the broad range of
colleges and employers including but not limited to the following
groupings for:
- Geographic Area
- Two-Year, Four-Year, or Graduate-Level
- Urban or Rural
- Cooperative Education or Internship Services
- Public or Private
- Religious, Racial, or Ethnic Affiliation
- Area of Academic Specialization
Employer organizational diversity will include, but not be limited to, the following groupings:
- Profit, Nonprofit, Government
- Size of Organization
- Nature of the Business (e.g. service, manufacturing, electronics, etc.)
- Geographic Scope (regional, national, international)
Concerted efforts will be made to reach out to individuals
representing these organizations for service on the C&S LLP Board,
committees, task forces, and publication years.
