Business Disputes

CWM has the experience to deal effectively with the risks and challenges of today’s marketplace, particularly when stakes are high. Our attorneys are adept at understanding critical business issues. We recognize that business disputes can jeopardize a client’s profitability and reputation, so we work quickly with our clients to achieve successful outcomes, whether through negotiation, litigation, arbitration, mediation or other means.

We represent Fortune 500 companies, government entities, established firms and startup companies in a broad array of business and commercial litigation spanning many industries. Our work includes complex contract cases, technology disputes, business conspiracy cases, business interference claims, injunctions, attachments, property disputes, shareholder disputes, corporate dissolutions, license disputes, confidentiality claims, non-compete claims and a host of other matters.

We also serve as co-counsel or local counsel in the Eastern District of Virginia, including for patent and other intellectual property cases. Our attorneys have a wealth of federal court experience, and were part of the successful trial team in 2012 in one of the largest patent cases tried in the Norfolk Division.
