Experienced health and safety lawyers

Our market leading team provides risk management, compliance, investigation support and crisis response across all health and safety matters, inquests and investigations, food safety and environmental issues. We have advised on some of the most prominent and complex cases including, the Potter’s Bar rail crash and the largest environmental case in the United States.

Our Environmental, health and safety experience includes:

  • Served as lead counsel in the BP oil spill litigation and guided the drilling contractor through crisis management and regulatory issues.
  • Representing a large fuel terminal and asphalt manufacturing company as lead litigation counsel in historic PCB contamination issues under CERCLA and RCR
  • Represented a large fuel terminal on all aspects of Clean Air Act Title V permitting, compliance and enforcement
  • Advising a global diversified industry company involved in two fatal incidents in UK. Our six week review programme of practices and procedures discharged the HSE notice and provided the non-UK board with a road map towards compliance.
  • After a serious safety incident a US-based organisation with a significant UK manufacturing footprint we were instructed to perform a review of every location and produce a comprehensive action plan to help our client reduce the likelihood of such incidents occurring again.
