Leasing

Effective leasing hinges on industry-specific knowledge—knowledge Eversheds Sutherland has in areas ranging from retail, office and industrial to data centers.

Along with the legal concerns inherent in leasing transactions, business, economic and financial uncertainties are inevitable. That’s where Eversheds Sutherland’s experience sets us apart. When addressing the many legal aspects of leases, our attorneys focus on the issues that are truly important to our clients without getting bogged down in trivialities. We have the industry-specific knowledge necessary to get the best deal, be it in the retail, mixed use, multifamily/affordable housing, office, warehouse or industrial space. We have a dedicated data center practice, devoted to the many specialized aspects of these tech-centric transactions.

Eversheds Sutherland’s nationally recognized team is experienced in virtually every kind of lease activity on a local, regional and national basis, and we regularly represent both landlords and tenants. We pride ourselves on our deal-making attitude and our ability to work with all parties, including the other side's lawyer and broker, in a non-adversarial and cooperative manner. We also understand when time is of the essence in lease negotiations, and move quickly to ensure that deals aren’t thwarted due to lack of information or the inability to finish up paperwork.

Our attorneys represent a wide variety of landlords that lease space across the United States. We represent developers, owners and tenants of shopping centers and are deeply familiar with all aspects of retail leasing matters. Our attorneys possess substantial experience with the special issues involved with office, industrial and data center leases. Our clients include players involved in all aspects of the lease brokerage business, and our experience is exceptionally deep around large, complicated transactions.
