Office & Industrial

Eversheds Sutherland handles a wide variety of office and industrial developments and leasing transactions in a cost-effective and client-focused manner.

Eversheds Sutherland understands the nuanced concerns of developers, tenants and owners of office and industrial properties. Our objective is for the client, its broker and counsel to act together in a seamless fashion and achieve the client’s business goals. We view our role to be creative and cost-effective problem solvers, and we hold ourselves accountable to implement effective client-specific strategies.

We build long-term relationships with our clients, handling purchases, sales, financings and leasing transactions in major markets across the United States. Our experience spans the globe, including domestic and international transactions. We understand our clients’ business concerns as well as the risks and challenges associated with the markets in which they operate. We believe the law exists to resolve business problems, not to create them.

We also understand the significant time pressures associated with real estate transactions; many deals will not close unless key issues are promptly negotiated and documented. We are enthusiastic proponents of technology and use it aggressively to manage costs and to accelerate and streamline delivery of documents and completion of transactions. Eversheds Sutherland attorneys are committed to providing our clients with high quality legal services that achieve objectives, meet budgets and beat deadlines.

Why Eversheds Sutherland
Long-term relationships.
We best serve our clients by understanding both the fine details of a project as well as the overall commercial strategy. This requires building long-term relationships focused on achieving our clients’ business objectives.

Full-service practice. We have experience with all types of transactions from leases and build-to-suit deals to joint ventures and construction contracts and represent all types of clients on any side of these transactions.

Business focus.
We know our clients’ businesses and the industries in which they operate, which permits us to efficiently and effectively solve their problems.

Environmental matters. We are experienced in assessing environmental risks inherent in office and industrial projects. Rather than raise problems without providing solutions, we pride ourselves on our ability to evaluate risks and then identify creative solutions.

Project management. We were pioneers in Legal Project Management and continue to provide our partners and associates with in-depth training in project management skills. We strive to apply this discipline and provide our clients with transparent and efficient budgeting, forecasting and timeline management.

Tech savvy. We rely on technology to leverage our legal talent. We are connected to our clients in many ways and use technology aggressively to manage costs, decrease turnaround time and outperform the competition.

Thought leaders. Our real estate lawyers are active members of key legal and professional associations, including the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, NAIOP, ICSC, ULI and PREA and national, state and local bar association sections and committees.
