Real Estate
Fried Frank's real estate practice is unparalleled in its skill and expertise. We are renowned for our use of innovative structures and creative strategies to facilitate sophisticated and highly-complex transactions, while providing our clients with superior service. With experience in the US, Europe and Asia, we have successfully represented clients in some of the most noteworthy and influential transactions around the world.
We counsel our clients on the acquisition and disposition of single assets and portfolios, distressed real estate and workouts, mortgage and mezzanine financing and restructuring, development and construction, leasing, joint ventures, real estate investment trusts, and real estate litigation. We work as a cohesive team with other disciplines, including tax, restructuring/bankruptcy, and litigation to ensure that all issues that could impact a transaction are properly and thoroughly addressed.
The breadth of our talent gives us the ability to counsel our clients on all aspects of a transaction from various perspectives, including environmental and land use. Our land use group is one of the most active in New York City, counseling clients on project development, property acquisitions, structuring tax incentives, grants, and financings. We represent developers and institutional clients before various New York regulatory agencies and are actively involved in economic development projects.
Our real estate practice was awarded the Chambers USA Award for Excellence in 2009, an award that honors outstanding lawyers and law firms across the USA, reflecting both pre-eminence in key practice areas, and achievements over the last 12 months.
