Real Estate

Real Estate and Finance

Our real estate department handles all types of commercial and residential real estate transactions. We represent developers and landowners in the acquisition, development, sale and leasing of major industrial and commercial projects, industrial parks, office complexes, condominiums, apartments, subdivisions, office and other developments.

Our real estate attorneys have extensive experience in negotiating and preparing the precise documents required to effectively complete complex real estate transactions. With direct computer links to data, we produce prompt and efficient title information and title insurance for clients.

Our firm has served as counsel for a number of banks and savings and loan associations for many years and has developed experience in all aspects of commercial lending, particularly commercial real estate financing.

Environmental and Land Use Law


Our environmental and land use law group offers proven ability and experience in dealing with all aspects of local, state and federal land use and environmental rules and regulations, including development-of-regional-impact proceedings. The firm is recognized throughout the state for its experience and ability in representing both public and private clients in all manners of land use law, DRI, zoning, comprehensive planning and environmental proceedings involving new development. Furthermore, the firm's Tallahassee office includes attorneys who are experienced practitioners in state environmental and administrative law.

Development and Environmental Permitting Experience

Our lawyers have practiced before every major federal, state and local permitting authority in Central Florida and indeed many throughout the state. We have not only represented landowners and developers before the agencies but also acted as counsel to counties, cities and special districts throughout Florida in their permitting processes. We have assisted in the conversion, location, permitting, operations and closure of sites for manufacturing plants, utility plants, landfills and other facilities in Florida.

Project Development Experience

The firm has extensive experience in shepherding major development projects, bringing to the projects not only our experience as lawyers for the property owner, but also the insights we've gained while serving as lawyers for local governments. In addition, we have the experience and ability to handle all aspects of construction, from contract preparation and bid disputes to contract administration and dispute resolution.
