Given the strength of GT’s real estate practice, our team has the ability to represent clients throughout the full cycle of a real estate transaction and take a holistic approach to real estate matters. This results in well-versed experience in the unique but often independent areas associated with of real estate matters, including leasing. The attorneys in our real estate leasing group have years of landlord and tenant experience negotiating office, retail, industrial and other commercial leases including ground leases, net leases, operating leases, master leases and subleases, build-to-suit leases, sale and leaseback transactions, as well as the extension, modification, and disposition of leases.
We also advise clients on matters pertaining to reciprocal easement agreements, development agreements, and option agreements, and are able counsel clients on matters concerning landlord and tenant disputes, bankruptcy and restructuring and zoning and land use matters. Among the clients we represent in connection with leasing matters are shopping center and office building developers and owners, national and regional retailers, financial institutions, pension funds, REITs, private equity companies, commercial tenants, municipalities and governmental agencies and property managers.
