Emerging Technology

Greenberg Traurig's Emerging Technology Practice is a multidisciplinary legal team focused on representing entrepreneurs and investors. Our LEEP (Launch, Emerge, Expand, Propel) Program is designed to provide start-ups and early-stage companies with the education, mentorship, connections and legal guidance needed to help them succeed.

We guide emerging technology companies through all the stages of their development, from initial business formation, through angel or venture capital financing, to initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. We understand the needs of entrepreneurs and their investors, as well as the challenges they face. Drawing on the firm’s broad platform, the group offers clients a streamlined approach to meeting their diverse legal needs – a single team that can scale up its services as clients’ businesses grow. Our attorneys regularly advise clients on a host of pressing legal issues, from corporate and financing transactions, IP protection and software/IT matters, to labor and employment, compensation, immigration, and tax issues.

As legal advisors to this industry, we also work closely with high-impact accelerator and incubator programs to address the needs of entrepreneurs. Members of the practice serve as attorneys-in-residence, company mentors and advisors, and business plan competition judges, among others, to help entrepreneurs successfully position their companies for commercialization.
