About Attorney Awards
Wills, Trusts & Estates
Our Trusts and Estates department services both estate planning and estate and trust administration clients. We protect the interests of our individual clients by devising and implementing creative strategies for transferring wealth. We design estate plans to fit particular needs and objectives: planning for children and dependents, reducing exposure to taxes, business succession and charitable planning. We draft wills, trust agreements, powers of attorney, family limited partnerships and all other documents required to prepare an effective estate plan. When a client dies, our attorneys also prepare all documents necessary to probate a will and attend to the procedural requirement of administering an estate. We counsel fiduciaries during the administration of an estate or trust, prepare and file Federal Estate Tax Returns and State Inheritance Tax Returns, Generation -skipping Transfer Tax Returns as well as Income Tax Returns for the estate. We are uniquely qualified to pursue estate and probate litigation when conflicts arise between beneficiaries. Our attorneys have expertise in both defending and advancing will contests, guardianships and application for advice and direction to resolve differences.
