Union avoidance training is a key part of how Husch Blackwell assists clients in dealing with union organizing. Our established program has effectively defeated the most aggressive union campaigns.
For our clients with established relationships, we provide strategy and support throughout the collective-bargaining process and have negotiated hundreds of collective-bargaining agreements. Once these contracts are in place, we have assisted clients in obtaining success in the arbitration of contract claims. Whether the claims at issue are in reference to disciplinary matters or matters involving contract interpretation, we have successfully guided our clients in obtaining the results they needed in the arbitration process. When the collective-bargaining process breaks down, we have assisted clients in the defense of National Labor Relations Board allegations and strike preparation, including obtaining injunctive relief in state and federal courts.
The expertise of our attorneys ranges beyond the more standard labor relations matters to include guidance for clients who are reorganizing, buying or selling assets or otherwise engaging in corporate transactions that require expert planning to avoid unfavorable roadblocks for such transactions.
