Antitrust Law

Jennings Strouss provides advice and litigation services with regard to antitrust matters. The firm has served clients in the health care, utilities, dairy, resort, title insurance, construction, automobile, liquor, education, and other industries.

We have experience with a variety of antitrust issues, including claims involving price fixing and exclusive dealing arrangements, issues involving access to suppliers and denial of access to resources or to hospital staff privileges, and antitrust assertions against professions and regulated industries. We also have experience with claims of monopolization and refusals to deal, limits and guidelines for collaborative actions by competitors through alliances or industry associations, antitrust issues arising from mergers and acquisitions, Hart-Scott-Rodino premerger notification requirements, price discrimination restrictions, intellectual property licensing and joint venture activities.

Our antitrust attorneys have lectured before companies and industry groups on antitrust compliance and various emerging antitrust issues.

  • Advice to a construction industry association on the antitrust implications of joint action to address common problems relating to contracting with public agencies.

STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY

Jennings Strouss continues to promote diversity by recruiting and retaining highly qualified individuals who represent diversity of opinion, personal experience and demographics. We retain excellent lawyers through regularly evaluating our recruiting focus, techniques, and strategies. We then make changes as necessary. Our recruiting committee expanded the on-campus interview program in 2007 to target students with diverse backgrounds and interests from law schools with significant minority enrollments and at minority student job fairs. The committee also is working on an outreach campaign to minority student organizations at various law schools around the country. Other demonstrations of our commitment to diversity are our continuing sponsorship of a law student in the annual Arizona State University Minority Writing Internship Program, a program that was started by our firm many years ago, and our sponsorship of the 2006 NBA Diversity Pipeline Program.
