Bankruptcy

Even in good economic times, the prospect of bankruptcy remains a consideration for every practice area. While the Kitch firm does not pursue bankruptcy petitions on behalf of debtors, the Firm does represent Trustees, creditors and interested parties in bankruptcy liquidation and reorganization cases. The Firm also assists clients in identifying and selecting Bankruptcy counsel to file for liquidation or reorganization, if that is the desired path. Whether pursuing a claim, litigating an adversary proceeding, challenging a preference action or other similar activity in the Bankruptcy Court, the Kitch Firm utilizes the trial skills developed in several practice areas to represent its clients’ interests.

The Kitch firm was co-founded in Detroit in 1969 by Richard A. Kitch and Richard F. Suhrheinrich, now a Senior Federal Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge.
