We have briefed and argued more than 250 matters before various state and federal appellate courts, including all sections of the Court of Appeals for Tennessee, the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeals, as well as handling cases on appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. Members of the Appellate Practice Group also are identified as “mentors for the moment,” volunteering their time to respond to questions about appellate practice from other attorneys in the bar. Our attorneys have been recognized in Best Lawyers in America® for Appellate Practice.
Not only does the Appellate Practice Group handle the appeals of cases originally tried by Lewis Thomason attorneys, we also are called on to handle cases tried outside our firm and are listed on the Appellate Counsel Panel for various clients and carriers.
