McGrath North's technology, licensing and internet attorneys advise clients on a wide range of technology and Internet related issues.  The practice group assists clients with the negotiation of all types of technology and web related transactions.  The group's lawyers have experience working on an array of agreements including software licensing, maintenance and support, Web site hosting, Web site terms and conditions, joint development agreements, B2B and B2C arrangements, hardware acquisitions,  source code escrow and employment related confidentiality and invention assignments.  Our specialized knowledge allows for creative problem solving in diverse matters of electronic commerce and related dispute resolution.

  • Negotiated a license agreement between a University and one of its professors to assist with the commercialization of newly developed technology.
  • Negotiated a multi-million dollar software license and technology outsourcing agreement.
  • Assisted a client with an RFP involving the selection of a new inventory management system.
  • Negotiated a joint development agreement on behalf of a major food product manufacturer involving the creation and use of a unique paper product.
  • Created an on-line user agreement on behalf of a Web-based auction company.
