Immigration Law (Immigration Reform and Control Act)

McMahon Berger assists its clients in various facets of business immigration, including helping employers obtain temporary business visas and permanent residence on behalf of foreign workers. The firm’s immigration practice is experienced and dedicated to working with our clients to develop cost-effective opportunities to employ individuals in the United States on a variety of visas, including H-1B (specialty occupations), L-1 (intracompany transfers), B-1 (business visitors), TN (Canadian and Mexican nationals under NAFTA), among others. We have successfully obtained such visas for executives, managers, computer specialists, engineers and other specialty classifications. In addition, the firm has aided numerous employers in working with the complex area of sponsoring employees for permanent residency in the United States. Furthermore, McMahon Berger regularly counsels employers on the intricacies of Form I-9 compliance and other employment verification issues, as well as potential claims of discrimination under the immigration laws.
