Obermayer’s construction lawyers represent clients involved in the construction industry, including owners, developers, investors, lenders, contractors, subcontractors, architects and design professionals, as well as insurers and bonding companies.

Integrated Legal Services

Our team recognizes the integrated nature of modern construction projects. To serve our clients’ needs, we provide services from the inception of the construction project to its conclusion, including advice and counseling; environmental, land use and construction permitting; drafting, reviewing and negotiating contract documents; negotiation and drafting of development and joint venture agreements; and negotiation among project team members. When disputes arise, our attorneys negotiate and resolve construction claims using the most efficient and cost-effective mechanism, be it mediation, arbitration or litigation. Our attorneys understand the multi-disciplinary aspects of today’s construction projects.

Firm Financial Foundation

Members of Obermayer’s Construction Law Practice Group have extensive experience with the financial aspects of construction including: advising lending institutions on matters relating to construction loans; representing lenders in drafting and negotiating construction loan documentation; and evaluating construction projects upon occurrence of loan defaults.
