Human Resources Counseling

Pryor Cashman’s Labor and Employment Group helps clients avoid litigation by providing counsel on changes in the ever-expanding, complex web of laws which govern employer-employee relations. These include the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, COBRA, wage and hour laws and the evolving standards regarding sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace.

Our group is involved in establishing human resources policies and preparing appropriate employee handbooks and other statements of policy for corporate clients in many different industries. We believe that the majority of labor and employment disputes can and should be resolved without litigation. Our attorneys work closely with management and human resources staff to develop personnel policies and affirmative strategies. We help clients avoid litigation, provide immediate counseling at critical stages of an employment problem or dispute and help resolve any issue shortly after its inception.
