Employment Law Defense

The Firm provides its governmental and private business clients top-quality legal advice and representation in the areas of company policies and practices, discrimination claims, workers' compensation, and civil rights. The attorneys practicing in this area have many years of experience in defending employers against claims of racial and sexual discrimination, sexual harassment, ADA and FMLA violations, wage and hour violations, wrongful denial of unemployment compensation, retaliatory discharge, and workers' compensation. Likewise, the members of the group also have extensive experience in defending governmental entities and serving their unique employment law needs. In addition to litigating and defending these types of claims with the EEOC and at trial in both state and federal courts, our attorneys often assist clients in drafting employee handbooks, drafting drug and substance abuse policies, and investigating claims of harassment and discrimination prior to litigation being filed. The Firm strives to keep clients abreast of current developments by publishing a quarterly newsletter, as well as presenting semi-annual seminars on issues relating to employment law and workers' compensation, conducting customized seminars on these topics for individual clients, and providing individualized training for our clients' supervisors and management teams so that clients are equipped to avoid litigation in these areas whenever possible. As a result, the firm has earned a reputation for providing unsurpassed service in connection with employment and workers' compensation matters throughout West Tennessee.
